About University of Primorska
University of Primorska was founded in 2003 in the Slovene Littoral, one of Slovenia’s five traditional regions.
The university is located in Koper, a port city in southwestern Slovenia. Koper is the country’s fifth largest city and the largest coastal city.
The university also has two other campuses located in Izola, a small fishing town, and Portoroz, a popular seaside resort.
There are six academic faculties at the university: the faculty of humanities, faculty of management, faculty of mathematics, natural sciences and information technologies, faculty of tourism studies, faculty of health sciences, and the faculty of education. Each faculty offers a range of degree programmes at bachelors, masters and doctoral level.
Students at the university are given the opportunity to study abroad at a partner institution for a semester or an entire academic year. The Department for Internationalisation is responsible for overseeing the university’s student exchange programmes and for providing support and guidance to incoming international students. The university has developed partnerships with 71 higher education institutions from 67 countries.
