About Technical University of Crete
Founded in 1977 in Chania, Crete, the Technical University of Crete admitted its first students in1984.
The Technical University of Crete comprises five engineering schools, all of which offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These are: production engineering, mineral resources engineering, electrical and computer engineering, environmental engineering, and architecture.
To prepare students for life after university, there is a career services office, which aims to help students decide on a career path as well as preparing students for job interviews.
On campus, students will find everything they need including university halls of residences, which provide students with a bed, internet access, private bathrooms as well as common rooms, laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. There’s also a library, cafeterias and computer labs.
There are a whole host of clubs for students to join. There are also sports facilities and various sports, games and tournaments for students to get involved with throughout the academic year.
The Technical University of Crete has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad.
Partnering universities include Montana Tech of the University of Montana (US), University Of Southern Denmark (Denmark) and Middle East Technical University (Turkey).
