The Psychiatric Neuroscience Lab at Taipei Medical University (TMU), directed by Dr. Matteo Martino (Graduate Institute of Mind, Brain, and Consciousness) and Dr. Paola Magioncalda (International Master/Ph.D. Program in Medicine, College of Medicine), is recruiting a full-time Neuroimaging Research Assistant.
Our Lab investigates brain function and the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders, bipolar disorder especially, using clinical and behavioral evaluations, laboratory analysis, and neuroimaging techniques (functional, structural, and diffusion MRI).

The position involves leading/assisting with various aspects of multimodal neuroimaging studies in humans including neuroimaging data collection, preprocessing, and analysis (resting state fMRI data especially).
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Neuroscience, or a related field.
Proficiencies with major neuroimaging software tools (FSL, AFNI, SPM, Freesurfer, etc.) and experience with programming in Python and MATLAB are required. The ability to carry out independent statistical analyses using standard software packages (e.g. R) is desirable.
English communication skills are required.
The initial employment period for this position is 1 year, with the possibility of extension. The job will start in October 2024.
Salary is in accordance with the TMU research assistant compensation standard plus health insurance and other benefits. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is subject to an annual increase.
