  • Participate in a range of research activities, including case studies, laboratory and experimental work, and data collection and analysis, to contribute to the development and demonstration of the power-barge solution.
  • Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through scientific publications, project reports, and other communication channels, to advance the knowledge and application of sustainable maritime electrification solutions.

Required selection criteria

  • You must have completed a Norwegian doctoral degree or corresponding foreign doctoral degree recognized as equivalent to a Norwegian PhD in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or related fields.
  • If you can document that the PhD thesis has been submitted, your application can be assessed even if you have not yet defended your dissertation. Documentation of the obtained doctoral degree must be presented before you can take up the position.
  • Relevant background and experience in one or more of the following disciplines: control systems, electrification, maritime transport, power and energy systems modeling and optimization, and sustainable design and operation.
  • Experience with research methodologies, data analysis, and scientific writing.
  • Publication record in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken.

The appointment is to be made in accordance with Regulations on terms of employment for positions such as postdoctoral fellow, Ph.D Candidate, research assistant and specialist candidate.
