Applications are invited for the temporary post of **Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Psychology within the School of Psychology.
UCD is a dynamic research-intensive university that is at the forefront of research and teaching activities across a wide range of disciplines. The UCD School of Psychology has identified the following strategic research themes:
- Affective, Behavioural, and Cognitive Neuroscience
- Group Processes and Social Inclusion
- Psychological Health, Wellbeing, and Resilience
We invite applications from individuals with research related to any of the School's research themes, and experience teaching at undergraduate level. For the coming academic year we will have teaching needs in areas including social, health and applied psychology at undergraduate level, and research methods and statistics, also at undergraduate level.
In addition, this process will be used to create a panel from which subsequent appointments made be made in the next six months.
Applicants must have a PhD or Doctorate in psychology, as well as teaching, supervision, and research experience relevant to the areas indicated above. The School is committed to research-led education, so the candidate will be expected to conduct research that supports high quality teaching in their field, and to lead innovations in both research and teaching directions. Successful applicants will contribute to the School's undergraduate and graduate programmes, and to research activity within the School.

The School has very good facilities for experimental and applied research and research centres/groups include the UCD Centre for Disability Studies, the Classification & Attribution Lab, and the Helping Kids Lan. The School has extensive interdisciplinary research links to a number of university teaching hospitals and other service providers in the disability and health sectors. We have developed formal agreements with organisations including St Michael's House Disability Services and LauraLynn Children's Hospice. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,233 - €98,548 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
