The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the evolution and development of all operational activities needed throughout the Consultancy and Strategic Marketing Services team. They will support the Managing Director of Consultancy with the operational running of the division, to ensure that the team is running well, and all project delivery is managed and monitored. This will include implementing business intelligence systems for project management and financial management; Asana and Salesforce respectively.

Working closely with the Consultancy and Strategic Marketing Services senior management team, the Senior Operations Manager will help to analyse gaps in current process management and information systems, identify solutions and implement new systems to support the systematic delivery of projects and recognition of revenue. They will have experience of project management processes and tools that can be used to support the future growth in delivery of project revenue.

They will also support members of team to learn about, and up skill to use project management and financial management tools. Providing guidance and training for team members, and creating systems of information sharing across the team.

Responsibilities:

Core operations management

  • Analyse gaps in current process management and information systems, identify solutions and implement new systems to support the systematic delivery of projects and recognition of revenue
  • Analyse and improve operational procedures, principles, and workflows ensuring efficient operations.
  • Salesforce - develop processes and practices to ensure correct use of salesforce
  • Asana - support the use and implementation of Asana project management tool for every project delivered
  • Standardise the use of information systems across the team, merging all current systems into clear and manageable process
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate operation policies to ensure quality standards.
  • Enhance data collection and operational reporting identifying trends or areas of opportunity.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings and provide training to all team members to ensure successful implementation of solutions
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies, relevant regulations, and applicable laws.

Project and team resource management

  • Monitor all new project activity on a monthly basis
  • Plan and assign project-related tasks to team members based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of team members.
  • Develop detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
  • Monitor project performance, budget, costs incurred, and delivery, as well as team performance.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project coordination, including among departments within THE to ensure higher productivity and efficiency.

Person Specification

  • Experience of operational management, designing and implementing operational processes
  • Experience of complex project management, financial management, and successful delivery of projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and independent self-starter who is able to hit the ground running; comfortable working within teams as well as being able to work effectively autonomously managing a challenging workload
  • Ability to work to agreed deadlines, working well under pressure, with excellent planning and organisational skills in order to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Positive attitude, solution oriented
